ABSTRACT EXPRESSIONS IN MOSAIC ART

May 28th - 30th

Snow Farm, Williamsburg, MA

Following your artistic instincts, create a piece of abstract mosaic art in a supportive, creative, and relaxed environment. Using the direct method, begin with a simple line or shape inspired by broken pottery, stones, or other material. Explore how to “grow” your mosaic intuitively following andamento, or, the flow of tiles, using pattern, rhythm and movement. Feel free to bring pottery shards, stones, or other materials which may have personal significance to you. A variety of materials will also be provided. Open to both beginners and experienced mosaic artists, this workshop will offer an opportunity to let go and explore the creative mind-space and the tactile delight of working in mosaic.
